Non-Profit Work

“If it is true that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, isn't it also true that a society is only as healthy as its sickest citizen and only as wealthy as its most deprived?”

― Maya Angelou (one of my favorite authors and poets)

Working with nonprofits is a passion of mine because I believe even the smallest shifts can be impactful. I would not be where I am today without my chosen community, so it is only fair that I put energy back into the community around me.

I resonate with causes that encourage local environmental and wildlife protection, especially in Eastern Kentucky, where my family is from, and where I have lovingly spent much time. I also resonate with immigrant and refugee advocacy, fighting for queer rights, and supporting underserved communities.

A middle-aged man with a gray beard and mustache, wearing a black hat, sunglasses resting on the hat, layered necklaces, a black jacket over a blue hoodie, standing outdoors with a green, wooded background.
Two young people sitting close together in a casual setting, looking up and to the side, against a wall with framed art of stylized leaves.
A child wearing pink and white sneakers, pink socks, pink pants with hearts, sitting on an adult's lap. The adult is wearing blue jeans and black shoes.

“WE HAD AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH KENDRA!

From the moment she arrived, she was warm, friendly, and incredibly easy to work with. She made the women and children we serve at our recovery program, Freedom House, and the individuals at our men's recovery program, Liberty Place, feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, which made all the difference.

Not only did everyone have a great time during the session, but the photos truly captured their personalities and joy. The final images turned out beautifully, and we were especially impressed with how quickly she delivered them.

We’re so grateful for her professionalism, kindness, and talent. We highly recommend her services!"
